1/ Harry has a son, and Snape is its godfather or, at least, a friend of the family.
2/ This is what might have happened, if Lily Evans had not married James Potter, but had married Snape instead, in which case Harry is Snape's son (hence their hair being so much alike) and this is Snape's grandson!
3/ This is what might have happened, if Snape had married someone with green eyes, in which case this is not Harry at all, but a female (!) and this is Snape's son.
Mind you, judging by the school uniform, Harry (if it is Harry) has produced a child at a remarkably early age! ( ... and why the marks on the collar?)
Those who have suggested that this is some sort of 'gay' relationship are severely confused as to human biology, if they think the child is the result of such a union!
Perhaps the artist will tell us the truth.
I don't want to fight with anyone, I'm just explaining since a lot of people are confused about this portrait. I know a lot of people don't like the pairing, but I also know a lot of people who do. So on the issue of whether you like it or not, whether it's right or wrong, let's just agree to disagree.
But, if this was meant to be romantic, that works too - I read all the Snape-Harry stories, and this is adorable!
However, the drawing is really good.
Now....Turn to page 394.
Stop making these disgusting gay fanfics because quite frankly it's just stupid.
Word!!<?xml:namespace prefix = da />
I, love it. To me this represents that Snape survived the war, and Harry and Snape were able to mend their fragile relationship to some mutual understanding, to mend the ties between them and Harry including Snape in his child with Ginny in their lives, something that Snape missed out on. I find it beautiful
If you are so offended at seeing gay couplings, then why look at it at all? Most tell you at the beginning of any fanfiction what it's going to be, and any pictures on DA or anywhere have thumbnails that you can see for yourself "Hey, I am not interested in that, I will move on."
It's not your place to tell people what they can and cannot publicly put out there if it is not against the site rules. And this, clearly, is not, despite your opinions.
And what do you have against gay people? And before you ask, no, I'm not, but admittedly, two of my best friends are both gay. It's the same as discriminating against blacks or asians, or telling a female that "she can't handle something" just because she's a girl.
If you don't like it, it's okay. I have nothing against you. But badmouthing a perfectly decent work of art is completely idiotic. And who knows? Maybe *daekazu meant it to mean that Snape became the godfather.
It is real art. Would you have an objection if there was a gay pairing between two men in a series of books if it was a good series?
MissBeastie does have a point. Why look at this at all?
It's not like it completely misled you by saying that it was a picture of Nargles.
Who says anything about groping? The only thing I see here is Snape looking at a baby that Potter is holding.
Like I said earlier, don't just badmouth the picture without looking at the quality first.
Racism is hating someone because of the colour of thier skin, which is completely stupid. It's not the art work that I'm really angry with, people can draw what they want, and I'll make sure to look at things that will interest ME. But it's all that bullshit in society and when two gays want to marry, they call it gay marriage. Marriage is between a man and a woman and only a man and a woman. Marriage is never between two people of the same sex, it will never be considered as proper marriage.
Also I'm not sexist, and probably over half of my friends are girls.
To answer your question about a gay pairing in a good book series, that could depend on a few things. And finally, sorry about my badmouth attitude, it is a very good art style, but it is not the sort of image I want to look at.
But like I said before, you have no power over those that want to expose themselves.
